About Me
I'm Katie, a Bristol-based photographer specialising in weddings, family photography, and professional headshots. Photography isn’t just my job, it’s something I genuinely love, and I care deeply about both the people I photograph and the experience they have along the way.
I’m known for being calm, friendly, and easy to talk to. Most people tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera, which is completely normal. My role is to guide you, put you at ease, and capture you in a way that feels natural and honest, rather than stiff or overly posed.
Whether I’m photographing a wedding day, a family session, or a corporate headshot, my approach is always the same. I take the time to understand you, work with flattering light, and create images that feel real, timeless, and true to who you are.
I moved to Bristol in 2002 and settled in Portishead in 2004. I’ve been photographing clients professionally across Bristol since 2019, although my love for photography began in 2016. Since then, I’ve won several awards and have been featured in Digital Camera Magazine, including a Harry Potter–inspired shoot with my daughter during lockdown.
My work is varied, and I offer a wide range of photography services including family and children’s portraits, weddings, boudoir, corporate headshots, pet photography, and creative fine art sessions. I work from my home studio in Portishead and also photograph on location across Bristol, the surrounding areas, and the wider South West.
Outside of photography, I love music, singing, travelling, cooking, and eating out, especially if onion rings are involved. I have two children aged 15 and 20, and a dog called Leo (who you will love even if you hate dogs) and I got married myself in a pretty unforgettable setting: an ice chapel in Finland.
Alongside my client work, I also enjoy using Photoshop and AI to create digital backgrounds for other photographers, which I sell through my Etsy shop. Bristol is such a creative city, and I love being part of that community.
With every session, my aim is to create meaningful photographs that you’ll enjoy living with and looking back on for years to come.

My photography style
My style is relaxed, people-focused, and story-led. I’m drawn to genuine moments, natural expressions, and strong connection.
For weddings, that means documenting the day as it unfolds, with a mix of candid moments and gently guided portraits. I love weddings that feel like proper celebrations. Full of laughter, personality, and people being themselves.
For headshots and branding, I keep things modern and approachable. Clean lighting, simple backgrounds, and direction that helps you look confident without feeling corporate or forced.
For families, it’s all about connection over perfection. Real interactions, relaxed sessions, and photographs that feel like you.
