Why have boudoir photography?
As a Bristol boudoir photographer, I specialise in lingerie-focused sessions that feel elegant, subtle and timeless.
Boudoir photography can be a powerful confidence boost. It’s a chance to see yourself differently and to celebrate who you are right now. Not a future version. Not a “when I…” version. Just you.
Sessions take place in my private, relaxed home studio near Bristol. The environment is calm and discreet, and you’ll be photographed by a female photographer throughout.
There’s no perfect moment to book a boudoir session. You don’t need to change your body, reach a milestone or feel a certain way first.
Whether you’re marking a personal shift or simply want to reconnect with your confidence, this is a space designed entirely for you.

I’m drawn to soft, romantic and timeless boudoir photography. Images that feel gentle, confident and beautifully understated.
Whether you’re treating yourself after having a baby, marking a milestone birthday or simply doing something just for you, I’ll guide you through flattering, natural poses and edit your images carefully so they feel polished but still true to you.
I use soft, directional lighting and subtle retouching to refine without overdoing it. Anything you feel self-conscious about can be gently softened, but I’ll never alter your shape or features beyond recognition. The aim is always to enhance, not disguise.
A boudoir session isn’t just about the finished photographs. It’s about the experience.
From the moment you arrive, the environment is designed to feel calm and private. You’ll have time to settle in, music to set the mood and a glass of Prosecco if you’d like one. If you choose to have your session at home, I’ll bring everything needed so the experience still feels considered and effortless.
Your boudoir photoshoot experience
Before your boudoir session, we’ll talk through your ideas and create a shared Pinterest board for inspiration. This helps shape the overall feel, from styling and mood to how the studio is set up on the day. I’ll also explain exactly what to expect so you arrive feeling prepared.
I recommend allowing 3–4 hours for your session so we can work at an easy pace. Bring four to five lingerie or boudoir outfits, giving you the option to change and explore different looks.
You’re welcome to do your own hair and makeup or visit a local salon beforehand. Choose whatever makes you feel most confident.
Your session takes place at my private studio in Portishead, just outside Bristol. The space is discreet and thoughtfully set up, allowing you to focus entirely on the experience.
You don’t need to know how to pose. I’ll guide you gently throughout, using flattering angles, considered lighting and natural direction to create soft, elegant images that feel timeless and true to you.
Most clients arrive feeling slightly nervous. That’s completely normal. Almost everyone leaves feeling surprised by how comfortable they felt, and proud of what they created.

Boudoir photography FAQs
Do I have to show a lot of skin?
No. Boudoir sessions are lingerie-focused but subtle, and you are always in control of what you wear and how much you show.
Will my images be heavily retouched?
All final images are carefully edited with subtle retouching to smooth skin and refine tones, while keeping you looking completely like yourself.
Can I bring my own outfits or props?
Absolutely. Many clients bring lingerie, shirts, knitwear, or meaningful items. We’ll choose what works best together on the day.
Can I bring someone along with me?
Yes, I want you to feel safe and comfortable.
Will my photos be shared online?
No images are ever shared without your clear permission. Many clients choose to keep their photographs entirely private.
I’m nervous — is that normal?
Completely. Almost everyone feels nervous beforehand, and the most common feedback I hear is how relaxed and empowering the experience feels.
After Your Boudoir Session
Around 7–10 days after your session, you’ll be invited back to the studio for your private viewing appointment. Your fully edited images are presented on a large screen in a calm, discreet setting, giving you space to see them properly.
This appointment is about choosing the photographs that resonate most with you. I’ll guide you through the available options and help you decide how you’d like to enjoy your images, whether as digital files or professionally printed artwork.
I keep the process simple and considered, focusing on quality rather than overwhelming you with choice.
Your photographs remain completely private and are never shared without your clear permission.
Many of my boudoir clients also book maternity sessions, celebrating their bodies at different chapters of life.
Boudoir sessions are often booked as a wedding gift, a confidence boost before the big day, or simply as a moment to do something just for yourself.
If you love the idea of something artistic but less intimate, my portrait sessions may be a better fit.

BOOKING FEE
£95
Your booking fee secures your boudoir photoshoot and reserves your time with me.
It covers the time spent together during your session, use of studio outfits and props, my experience and creative expertise, and the professional editing of your images. The booking fee does not include any photographs and is not deducted from your chosen photo package.
After your session and viewing appointment, you can choose the digital photo package that feels right for you.

Privacy & discretion - Your session is private, respectful, and completely under your control.
Your privacy is always respected. Boudoir sessions are completely confidential, and your images will never be shared publicly without your clear permission.
My studio is a private, closed space and your session is booked exclusively for you. No interruptions, no rushing, and no unexpected visitors.
You remain fully in control at every stage — from what you wear, to how much you show, to which images (if any) are used for my portfolio. Many clients choose to keep their photographs entirely private, and that is always absolutely fine.
This experience is about feeling safe, comfortable, and respected from start to finish.
