Mother’s Day Mini Photo Sessions in Bristol
Short, relaxed sessions capturing real moments between mums and their children.
Mother’s Day mini sessions are designed to be calm, simple, and pressure-free. There’s no need for perfect behaviour or forced smiles, just natural connection, cuddles, and moments that reflect real motherhood as it is right now.
Sunday 8th March - Thursday 12th March
Children change quickly, sometimes so quickly you don’t notice it until you look back at photos. The way they fit in your arms, the expressions they pull, the small moments that feel ordinary now but won’t stay that way for long. These sessions are about pressing pause for a moment and giving you something tangible to remember this stage by.

What to wear for a Mother’s Day photoshoot
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and like yourself. You don’t need anything fancy or new — simple, well-fitting clothes photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on connection rather than outfits.
Soft, neutral tones work especially well together. Think creams, soft pinks, beige, muted greens or gentle blues. Avoid bold logos or busy patterns, as they can pull attention away from faces. For mums, dresses or tops with movement are always flattering and easy to wear, but there’s no “right” choice — trousers and a simple knit work just as well.
For children, keep things relaxed. Bare feet are absolutely fine, and outfits they can move in tend to lead to more natural moments. Coordinating colours works better than matching exactly, and if you’re unsure, simple is always best.
If you’d like help choosing, I’m always happy to advise — and I have a small studio wardrobe available for Mother’s Day mini sessions too.
You don’t need to be “camera ready” for a Mother’s Day photoshoot. Just come as yourself. Your children don’t notice wrinkles, tired eyes or bad hair days — they just see you. One day, these photos won’t be about how you looked, but about how it felt to be loved and held. Being in the photo matters far more than standing behind the camera.
Multiple generations are welcome — mums, grandmas and children can all be part of the session.

Seasonal sessions are a lovely snapshot in time. If you’re looking for something more relaxed and timeless, you might also like my Family Photography sessions.
